This is important because the default installation from most wireless systems is less than optimum. Why? Well they all usually use the same “channel.” This is like multiple radio stations broadcasting over the same frequency. The results are congestion and the inability to “hear” clearly. Since there are so many wireless networks (you’ll be surprised at how many are in your neighborhood) We’ll make sure we choose a channel that is not currently used. Next, we’ll make sure your system is setup securely. Security is important these days and wireless needs to be setup to keep the eavesdroppers out. As you’ll see when we setup yours, there are lots of extra wireless networks around your house and many of them are not secure!

Family Computing

Integrating computers into the family has come at a breakneck pace! Young children sometimes know more about computer technology than their parents do! But it’s still our role as parents to keep our children save from online problems. At HLP2U, we have children too so we understand how important this is. We can help you understand technology, understand its limitations, help setup systems that will keep your kids safe while online and if you choose, provide a way to monitor their activity.
